The Kit Shed doesn't sell jerseys. We're a kit-finding service: you tell us your team, and we point you to the official place to buy — whether that's the manufacturer, the club shop, or a licensed retailer.
Why does that matter? Because the jersey market is flooded with counterfeits. Fake kits fund organised crime, fall apart in the wash, and don't put a cent back into the clubs you love. We exist so fans never have to wonder whether a store is legit.
Our promise: every retailer linked on The Kit Shed is officially licensed to sell the kits they stock. No grey-market sellers, no marketplace gambles, no fakes. Ever.
How We Vet Retailers
Before any retailer appears on The Kit Shed, it has to pass all five of these checks:
- 1. Licensing verificationWe confirm the retailer holds a current licence from the relevant league, club, or manufacturer — either as the official kit maker (e.g. O'Neills for GAA), an official league partner (e.g. NBA Store), or a listed authorised stockist.
- 2. Source of stockWe check that products come directly from the brand or an authorised distributor — not parallel imports or unverifiable third-party suppliers.
- 3. Returns and buyer protectionThe retailer must offer a clear, fair returns policy and secure payment processing. If something goes wrong with your order, you need real recourse.
- 4. Track recordWe review the retailer's history: how long they've operated, their public reviews, and whether they've ever been flagged for selling counterfeit or misdescribed goods.
- 5. Ongoing reviewVetting isn't one-and-done. We re-check our retailer list regularly, and we remove any store that no longer meets the standard.
How We Make Money
The Kit Shed is free for fans. When you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from that retailer — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone to the store directly.
Commissions never influence our vetting. A retailer can't pay to be listed; they can only qualify by being officially licensed. For full details, see our affiliate disclosure.
