Where to Buy GAA County Jerseys Officially (2026 Guide)

Updated June 2026 · 4 min read

Whether you're after the Dublin sky blue, Kerry's green and gold hoops, or your own county's colours, buying a GAA jersey is simpler than buying a soccer kit — because nearly all of it runs through one official source.

The short answer: O'Neills

O'Neills is the official kit manufacturer for the vast majority of GAA county teams, and has been for decades. Unlike soccer, where Nike, Adidas, and Puma split the market, GAA jerseys overwhelmingly come from this one Irish manufacturer — which makes official buying straightforward:

A small number of counties have deals with other manufacturers, so check your county's official channels if in doubt — but if a "county jersey" comes from an unbranded overseas seller at half the usual price, it isn't official.

What an official GAA jersey costs

Expect to pay roughly €55–€75 for an adult county jersey, with kids' sizes from around €40. Special editions (commemorative jerseys, goalkeeper kits, Gaeltacht versions) can run higher. If you see a "county jersey" for €20 shipped from overseas, it's counterfeit — no exceptions.

Diaspora tip: O'Neills ships worldwide, and around major championship moments demand spikes hard — jerseys regularly sell out in popular sizes after a county reaches an All-Ireland final. If your county is going well in the championship, buy early.

Sizing: GAA jerseys fit differently

GAA jerseys are cut for play — slightly longer in the body and trimmer than a casual tee. If you're buying to wear to matches or the pub rather than to play in, most people prefer to go one size up from their usual. Check our size guide for the full O'Neills chart.

Club vs county jerseys

Your local club jersey is also made to order through the official manufacturer in most cases — but club jerseys typically aren't sold openly. They're usually ordered through the club itself, so if you want your club's colours, talk to your club shop or registrar rather than searching online.

Authentic vs Replica Football Kits: What's the Difference?

Updated June 2026 · 5 min read

Stand in any club shop and you'll see the same shirt at two prices — sometimes €40 apart. Both are official. Both carry the club crest. So what are you actually paying for?

The three tiers of football shirt

TierWhat it isTypical priceLegal?
AuthenticThe exact match-spec shirt players wear — lightest fabrics, heat-bonded details, athletic cut€100–€150✅ Yes
ReplicaOfficial licensed fan version — same design, more durable everyday fabric, looser fit€70–€95✅ Yes
CounterfeitUnauthorised copy infringing the club's trademarks€10–€25❌ No

Authentic: built for 90 minutes, not for life

Authentic (sometimes labelled "Match" or "Pro") shirts use the lightest performance fabrics, laser-cut ventilation, and heat-bonded crests to save weight. They're cut tight to the body — genuinely tighter than most fans expect. They're also less durable for everyday wear: those featherweight fabrics snag and bobble more easily than replica material.

Replica: what most fans should buy

The replica (or "Stadium") version is the same design, made by the same official manufacturer, with embroidered or standard crests and a more relaxed fit. It survives washing machines, pub nights, and five-a-side. For most fans, the replica is simply the better product — the authentic shirt only makes sense if you want exactly what the players wear and don't mind the tighter cut.

Fit rule of thumb: replica = your normal size. Authentic = size up, unless you want the genuinely athletic player fit.

How to Buy an NBA Jersey in Europe (Without Getting a Fake)

Updated June 2026 · 4 min read

NBA jerseys are among the most counterfeited sports products on earth — and because most official stock originates in the US, European fans face extra traps: import fees, fake "EU warehouses", and marketplace listings that look legit until the jersey arrives feeling like a bin liner.

Know what you're buying: Swingman vs Authentic

Where Europeans should actually order

The customs question

If your jersey ships from the US into the EU, expect import VAT plus possible duty and a courier handling fee — easily €20–€35 on top of a €100 jersey. Ordering from an EU-fulfilled storefront avoids this entirely, which is why it's worth checking the shipping origin before paying. UK buyers face the equivalent on US imports.

Sizing warning: NBA jerseys run large and boxy — they're vests designed to be worn loose. If you want a fitted look, size down one from your usual. Full chart in our size guide.
